Ben started his career with Northwestern Mutual while he was still attending the University of Pittsburgh as a College Financial Representative. He graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh. Ben is committed to continuing his education and professional development. Ben holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation (CFP®). He earned an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from Duquesne University and holds his Series 7, 6, 65 and 63 Securities registration. He is also licensed to transact life and health insurance. Ben specializes in working with physicians, executives and business owners. Ben is currently sought out to speak to physician groups across the country.

  • Ben first qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table in 2014. MDRT is the premier association of financial professionals. MDRT status designation is granted for one year and members must apply every year to continue affiliation with the MDRT.

Ed has over 31 years of experience in the financial services industry.  He is focused on Private Client Services for professionals, business owners, executives and high net-worth individuals. These services include family security, asset modeling, retirement planning and income distribution strategies, estate tax planning, charitable giving and education planning.  Before joining the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network as a Specialist in 2002, Ed spent almost 20 years at a Private Family Office practice.

Disability Income Specialist
Our Disability Income Specialist assists individuals and businesses design a disability income insurance program for both individual and group needs.

Ed Haller is the Disability Income Specialist for the Pittsburgh Network Office of Northwestern Mutual. He is responsible for his personal financial services business. Ed graduated from Washington & Jefferson College with a B.A. degree in Business Administration. He began his career with Northwestern Mutual directly out of college.

Ed also recently received his CLU® designation. The CLU® designation is one of the highest levels of study in the life insurance profession. It helps Ed to provide a wider array of solutions for his clients' personal needs, including income replacement, estate analysis, and wealth transfer. He takes great pride in providing a higher level of service to his clients.

Ed is a native of Pittsburgh, PA, and currently resides in the Squirrel Hill area. In his spare time, Ed enjoys playing golf and squash, wakeboarding, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. He is also heavily involved in the community.

Our Long Term Care Specialist helps individual and corporate clients understand their long-term care needs and designs solutions tailored to their unique situation.

Mitchell Letwin is the Long Term Care Specialist for the Northwestern Mutual Pittsburgh.  He works with small-to-medium sized business owners, individuals in the medical and judicial industries, and those who are responsible for their economic security to help them build a sound financial future. Mitchell Letwin graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Business. He came to Northwestern Mutual through a career change after being in the business market for 20 years.

Mitchell currently resides in Pittsburgh with his wife, Rhonda, and children, Rachel and Ryan. In his spare time, Mitchell enjoys playing golf and raquetball, and watching movies. He is a member of the Million Dollar Roundtable and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
